Again, this module is divided into two lessons. In the end of lesson 2 you will take your final quiz. Then, you will be finished!
1. Entry #1: Create a google document with the title “Module 3“. Here you will be writing down all your entries for this module. Write the number of the entry before you start typing. Just as it is shown in module 1 in the picture. For this first entry you will read the teacher lecture and explain in your own words what the properties of matter are.
2. Entry #2: First, you will create a table in your google doc “Module 3“ like the one shown in the image below. Then, you will watch the video. You will again watch the video and fill out the table . In our next class, together we will be testing to see if what the video says is correct.

1. Entry #3: Answer the question Does matter change? and how? Think these questions thoroughly, don´t just start writing. Analyze, do you change? does food change? does your pencil change? how do they change and why?
2. Entry #4: With the same partner you have been working with, create and plan an experiment (with the steps in the scientific method). Write everything down on your Module 2 document. You will be able to choose one of the following two experiments:
a) Play dough rolled up in a ball vs stretch out as much as possible. What has changed? What properties have changed?
b) A chopped up apple left out for an entire day. What has changed? What properties have changed? Is it still an apple?
3. Blog post: Watch the BrainPOP video called Property Changes. Take the quiz and send it to me. The quiz will be used as an assessment not an evaluation. Assessments help you improve and help me to know what I need to explain more and focus on. Then, read the FYI article. Think of one example of a chemical change and the reasons why it is a chemical change, one example of a physical change and the reasons to prove it is a physical change. Write a blog post. Read your classmates posts. Make sure you do not repeat the same example. If you do not agree with a classmates example please comment on his/her post. Be respectful. One way of saying of phrasing might be: I do not agree because.... OR you might consider that ......
During our face-to-face class we will be reading and discussing your posts.
