This second module will be divided into 2 lessons. Each with its own set of assignments. Make sure you read carefully and complete each lesson before you move on to the next. In order for you to be more organized and keep track of the assignments, please print out the document I have attached below this paragraph and staple it to your homework agenda. The idea is for you to use this as a checklist and check off the things you have completed. This is the first thing you will need to do before you even continue reading. Also check the calendar so you turn in things on time and don´t get points discounted from your grade.

Here is an overview of how the module is divided and the assignments included in each lesson. Take a moment to read all the assignments so you have a better understanding of what you will be doing and how you will be working. After, you may proceed to begin working on Lesson 1. Don´t forget to check the grading tab and find out how you will be graded in this second module.
1. Entry #1 Create a google Drive document with the title “Module 2“ and be sure to place it in your Matter folder. You will be doing the same as in Module 1 making your thinking visible. First, start by writing down anything you know about Matter. What is it? Examples. What is not matter? Are there different types of matter?
Remember there are no wrong answers!
2. Entry #2 Read this article and write a new paragraph explaining what you understood from the the video. You may write your ideas as paragraphs or as separate ideas.
3. Blog Entry Classify matter. I would like you to write an entry blog answering the following questions. Remember to write in complete sentences and check for punctuation, capitalization and spelling. Read your classmate´s blog posts. You may also comment on someone else´s post. We will discuss these answers in class.

2. Watch BrainPOP video: Measuring Matter. Take the quiz and email me your grade. This will be helpful for me to see how much you understand these concepts. This will work as an assessment, not an evaluation.
3. Practice page. Open this document and answer the questions on your MODULE 2 document.
4. Entry #4 You will be assigned a partner and together you will discuss and answer these questions. Make sure you both include the answers on your own document.
a) How do you think you can use what you know about mass and volume?
b) In what way is it beneficial?
c) Who would benefit from knowing what mass and volume are and how you calculate them? Think about different jobs people perform.
5. Experiment Scientific Method. With the same partner which you were assigned, you will perform a second experiment. In the end, make a presentation on google sites taking your audience through every step of the scientific method. You may add video and/or images. All materials for the experiment will be provided for you.
I will give each team a rock and a ring. You will have to make observations and create a hypothesis of which object has more mass and which has more volume. A scale will also be available.
6. Self Assessment. It is always important to take a moment and reflect about our performance. How am I doing? Am I finding the course difficult? Have I done everything that is required from me? Am I putting all the effort into my work? Am I creating quality work? How can I improve? Answer the Google Form below.
